A record number of Indian students joined the universities in America in 2021-22.
More than 200,000 Indian students are studying at US academic institutions, and this number represents more than 20% of international students currently in the United States. The US Mission officials in India say that many more students will join the American universities this year to pursue a variety of courses.
According to US Mission officials, international students are essential for the foundation of the US India partnership. Students’ connections create opportunities to increase economic growth for the US and Indian companies. Also, it builds stronger bilateral ties between the two governments.
