What blockchain is and why does it matter? Blockchain technology remains fascinating and at the same time puzzling for many. Because blockchain technology is still in its early stages of development and widespread usage, scepticism exists about its applications and scalability. Even though we are early in the process, Blockchain technology is here to stay. Blockchain collects data in groups known as ‘blocks.‘ When these blocks are filled with data, they are closed and linked to previous blocks to form a data chain known as the blockchain. Data distribution is feasible with this; however, the data cannot be edited, assuring data security. For example – verification of student records and accreditation.
