Each year hundreds of Indian students take the SAT in an effort to get to their dream university abroad. SAT is a standardized test for high school students seeking admission to graduate programs mainly in the US. SAT scores are also accepted by various universities across countries like the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia and Singapore.
Until now SAT was administered as a paper based test. The SAT governing body, College Board has recently announced alterations in the exam. Apart from going digital, the exam will also change structurally.
Some of the notable changes are
- Duration reduced to 2 hrs.
- Reading passages to become shorter, cover wider range of topics and have only one associated question
- Calculators allowed for Math sections
