Having a keen interest in environmental activities prompted Sneha, a 24-YO MA Environmental studies student to enrol in UNEP’s Plastic Tide Turner Challenge. This challenge was started in her college, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, in 2019. Students who had joined this campaign had a shared goal – to protect the environment. Who would have imagined that their efforts would finally result in the return of living animals to their home – ecosystem? As a part of this project, Sneha and her team removed 700 kg of waste from the river which helped Turtles & Crocs regain their home
