IIT Kanpur and KGMU Lucknow have jointly launched a School of International Biodesign – Synergizing Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIB-SHInE) program.
This will help make India self-reliant in health-tech innovations.
It is a year-long full-time program with a dedicated residential fellowship aimed at the next generation of biomedical entrepreneurs.
The Program will also help impact the global medical device market by promoting the development of India-specific, globally relevant medical devices.
The Program is sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India.
IIT Kanpur and KGMU are the second set of institutes after IIT Delhi and AIIMS Delhi to launch this Program.
