Great news for IIT aspirants!
Soon for the first time, India will set up an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a foreign land. Jamaica is the first country to show an interest in having an IIT campus. Under National Education Policy (NEP 2020), India encourages top educational institutes like IIT and IIM to set up campuses abroad.
“We must get our young minds to work jointly in several fields like Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Jamaican traditional medicine and Ayurveda, and build together a climate-smart world. We must capture their imagination and energy to build a prosperous, progressive and peaceful society,” said Indian President Kovind while addressing the state Banquet Hosted by the Governor-General of Jamaica.
Great initiative for Indian students, now they can expand their global exposure and get many opportunities to connect, collaborate and make their mark globally.
