H&M’s latest innovation series presents how the business is paving its way towards its sustainability agenda set up in early 2021. This themed collection has been well crafted with dissolvable sewing thread and repurposed ocean waste. “Many of us have missed the transformative aspect of fashion during the pandemic, which is why we wanted to make a collection that signalled a return to excitement, self-expression and dressing up. We were really interested in creating a collection that pushed forward conversations around recycling and reusing fashion materials while making something that was beautiful, bold and optimistic,” says Ella Soccorsi, concept designer at H&M.
Many believe that sustainable fashion can’t be bright, bold and beautiful. H&M is on the mission to challenge this stereotype and make some waves in the fashion industry with climate-positive actions.
