The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued new guidelines for technical and non-technical students to assist students from all academic backgrounds in enhancing their theoretical knowledge and gaining work experience.
Talking to the Education Time, Anil Sahasrabudhe, chairman, AICTE, says, “In 2019, which was the initial phase of the portal, there was low onboarding of students and participation of the companies, which affected the internship placement performance. With not much headway in recruiters supporting the portal, AICTE was focusing on tapping them. This year, we had mapped several MNCs who are keen to offer Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) to competent interns.”
The AICTE has been partnering with a number of enterprises, training institutes, government entities, and ministries both in India and overseas, he added.
Interested students can intern at enterprises working in innovation, entrepreneurship, NGO, project work, seminar, and institutional training and add these academic credentials to their CV.
Candidates can visit the official website of AICTE to know about the recently posted internship opportunities.
