Most of us have been there – being another application among a pile, for school or college admission, for internship or a job.
As a convention, for internships and jobs we prepare the best possible application with a great cover letter and a resume and count on luck to get noticed.
But Dikshita Basu got creative and stood out of the crowd. Dikshita is pursuing computer science and engineering at Tamil Nadu’s Sathyabama University and is interested in product design.
For her internship application to Zomato, Ms Basu chose to show her capabilities instead of writing about them. She came up with suggestions for the Zomato app and presented them to Zomato in a quirky internship application.
Her bold, direct approach to the founder and senior members of Zomato via Linkedin also deserves a mention.
